Will you help build a monument in the former HMS Vernon at Portsmouth, Hampshire to honour those involved in mine warfare, diving and bomb & mine disposal - past, present and future?

The monument will stand on a plinth in what was part of Vernon Creek. A modified design, celebrating the minewarfare & diving community, will be announced shortly. A moored mine will represent the naval minewarfare element (all those past, present and future involved in mine design, minelaying and mine disposal or have served in MCMVs (mine countermeasures vessels)) and two figures of divers wearing Clearance Divers Breathing Apparatus will represent the diving element (all those past, present and future involved in naval and military diving).

The Project has raised over a quarter of a million pounds (UKP) since 2008 and now has only a short distance to go.
