Donate

The monument is being funded entirely by voluntary donations. All and any contributions are very welcome.

The Project is registered as a Charity in England and Wales.

The preferred means of donation to the Charity’s fund is via a Bank Transfer to “The Vernon Monument Project Fund” and, for UK tax payers who qualify, accompanied by a Gift Aid declaration. Details of how this income tax recovery mechanism works are listed on the HMRC web site. The mailing address for the Project Vernon Honorary Treasurer is listed on the Contact Us page on this website.

For those supporters organising fundraising or sponsored events, the next most effective means of collecting funds is by credit card (see the button below).

Fundraising was initiated originally to design and build the now-installed 1.25 life-size bronze statue.

Part of the amount raised so far has been put towards Phase 2 of the project to provide the technology through which visitors can learn about the origins of the site as well as those who lived, worked and trained within its walls over the years of its occupation by the Royal Navy.

Register your support now and please consider donating to the monument fund.  Contributions are still required for the ongoing maintenance of the statue, static story boards, lighting and for the technology to explain the history of the Monument and why it is where it is.
